As we wrap up the first quarter of the year, one looks into April with wide eyes. Flowers begin to show their beauty, the sun shines longer each day, and the energy in one's environment becomes more vibrant. This is a month of many celebrations such as the birth of Aphrodite (the Greek goddess of love and beauty) Good Friday, Palm Sunday, Easter, the Buddha’s Birthday, and Earth Day.

We can’t of course forget to mention the importance of April Fool’s day. A day which celebrates the Norse God Loki who was a trickster and shapeshifter. It is said that Loki brought about chaos before change or new beginnings. He was celebrated and honored for making one realize that growth is achieved through change. Not to mention, the pranks he did on others were to trick evil spirits so that they would not bring their negative energies to fertility rituals during the month when crops were planted.

We at The Crystal Council would like to embrace a charity that on a global platform helps others. This organization is called WATER.ORG. This nonprofit organization began in 2009 and focuses on bringing safe water and sanitation to those in impoverished areas. Through their initiatives of small affordable loans, families can purchase long term safe water and sanitization solutions within their community. WATER.ORG has provided 33 million people in 13 countries and 4 continents with safe water and toilet facilities.

For the month of April, we will be featuring Eudialyte, also known as “the stone of the heartland”. It connects to the energy of unconditional love and has the ability to route these energies into the earth. It does this through thoughts, feelings and manifestations. Physical existence often puts a primary focus on our survival needs (food, shelter, safety) leaving emotional needs in the background.
