Bay Area Lyme Foundation

Aries energy leads us into the second quarter of the year, motivating the next steps with passion, ration, and possibility!  The Earth awakens with new life, bringing flowers to bloom in celebration of the first full moon of Spring, inspiring the name the Full Pink Moon. Transformation, revitalization, and rebirth are celebrated this month, and it is believed the name April is actually derived from the Latin word aperire, meaning "to open".  Another theory is April pays homage to the goddess Aphrodite, patroness of beauty, love, fertility, abundance and growth.  Add a touch of Aphrodite to a garden by planting roses, or work with the energy of Venus by incorporating apples, copper, or the colors green and pink into your routine!

The Crystal Council has chosen to support the Bay Area Lyme Foundation this month. This non-profit organization based in Silicon Valley and collaborates with world-class scientists and institutions to accelerate medical breakthroughs for Lyme disease. It is also dedicated to providing reliable, fact-based information so that prevention and the importance of early treatment are common knowledge. 100% of all donor contributions to Bay Area Lyme Foundation to go directly to research and prevention programs.

Lyme disease is one of the most common vector-borne infectious diseases in the world. It is found in 65 countries and throughout the United States, with ~500,000 new cases each year in the US alone. And yet, Lyme research is significantly underfunded relative to other comparable diseases. The Bay Area Lyme Foundation's goal is to fill that void and accelerate the pace of new drug and diagnostic development in order to alleviate the suffering.

This month's featured crystal is Rose Quartz, the stone of unconditional love, emotional healing, compassion and authentic joy. Activate the heart chakra, invoke receptivity and release pent up emotions by working with Rose Quartz.  This healing crystal is beneficial for overcoming trauma, bringing balance to the adrenals, and radiating nurturing, soothing energy.  Keep Rose Quartz with you to maintain a sense of reassurance, or assist with focusing on a self-love intention.  This crystal is exceptional for stabilizing the heart chakra during times of distress, and can be placed directly over one's chest.  100% of all proceeds will be contributed to the Bay Area Lyme Foundation.
