Hope After Loss

November is a time of gathering to give thanks and meditate on the bounty from the prior month's harvest.  Look to the skies early this month, to catch the full moon eclipse occurring on the 8th! Traditionally, November's full moon is known as the Beaver Moon, a time when beavers are preparing for hibernation, as well as the Frost Moon, signaling the season's first frost.

x Invite warmth into your routine by mediating over a mug of tea or spiced apple cider, or connect with the energies of the Earth by working with grounding spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon or clove.  Creating traditions is all about making moments of mindfulness that feel rejuvenating and authentic to you!  Allow yourself to get swept up in the warmth of the season, snuggle up with a crystal that feels healing, and ease into this season of tuning inward.

Each time a member of our Crystal Council Family shares an experience close to their heart, we are able to expand the way we see the world.  We are so grateful to be able to feature a cause that affects real people and makes a difference in the community.  This November, the Crystal Council Family is proud to feature Hope After Loss, a non-profit organization that supports women and men in Connecticut who are grieving the loss of a pregnancy or newborn.  Hope After Loss offers support groups, individual support, grief support, assistance with burial and cremation services, as well as outreach and education.  The way Hope After Loss combines mindfulness, education and empathy to create a space that feels safe to explore both loss and healing, is so powerful.  The grief of losing a pregnancy or newborn affects the whole family, and we think it is beautiful how Hope After Loss includes siblings in the healing process.  Flowers for Hope, a children's book created by Hope After Loss, explores the grief process in a child-friendly way, guiding both parent and child through difficult emotions.  Hope After Loss also hosts a podcast featuring stories from the pregnancy and infant loss community and healthcare professionals!  This amazing non-profit also hosts two annual events, as well as monthly online remembrance events to honor all the sweet little ones gone too soon.
