Size: 4x3 Inches

Deep Meaning

Iridescent Calcite was discovered in the 1960s from an old coal mine in Oskaloosa, Iowa, and was never extracted during initial mining operations as it was deemed valueless. When the mine closed in the 1980’s, private collectors ventured into the shafts of this now-vacant underground area and began collecting any specimens that were already blasted off the bedrock. Most of these crystals were taken by a handful of collectors, some sold at local rock shows, and even more housed in storage lockers. Now over 40 years later, this American material has become very valuable and hard to acquire, with only a few sellers nationwide offering up pieces for sale.Iridescent Calcite is a powerful ally for anyone on a path of transformation, especially those seeking emotional growth and a deeper connection to Mother Earth.
