Crystal can be held to the horizon, even on very cloudy days, will pass the ultraviolet thru the crystal. By rotating the stone it will refract into two lines of light, but only when pointed toward the sun. Be careful to not look directly at the sun for too long. Sun is due south at mid-day. Such stones have been found in Viking ships.
The Crystals are never broken or cracked and shine happy lime they where picked just for me.
