Igneous Rock


Igneous rocks form when magma cools and solidifies. Igneous rocks are further subdivided into extrusive, intrusive, and plutonic depending upon the depth and time of crystallization. Common examples of igneous rocks include Quartz, Obsidian (Black), Larvikite, Aegirine, Rhyolite, and Sodalite.
