Golden Barite is a variety of Barite that crystallizes in tabular crystals, aggregates, and clusters.The unique appearance this stone has is amplified by its golden luster, which can even appear as a translucent sheen in high quality crystals. Some of the clusters of barite can have Marcasite or Pyrite inclusions or as a secondary mineral which coated the barite after its initial formation. We have also seen Golden Barite coming out of China that formed on a green and purple Fluorite matrix. Aside from localities in China, such as the provinces of Guizhou, Hunan, and Hubei, Golden Barite can also be found in Peru, Mexico, India, and the U.S.A.
