Science & Origin of Sunset Sodalite

Sunset Sodalite is a combination of Sodalite and Sunstone that crystallizes in the form of masses. It is often referred to as Feldspar Sodalite, due to Sunstone being a member of the Feldspar family. The color is mostly blue, with streaks of White Calcite and orange feldspar inclusions that can be as much as 50% of the crystal. Sunset Sodalite was recently discovered but is believed to form in a few deposits worldwide. These would include Brazil, Namibia, and India.
