Science & Origin of Blue Apatite and Orange Calcite
Blue Apatite and Orange Calcite is a combination mineral that crystallizes with a Blue Apatite gem in an Orange Calcite matrix. The Blue Apatite crystals can form in smaller or larger sizes in the Orange Calcite, making the unique appearance aesthetically pleasing. Most of these specimens are found in Brazil and Canada, with the Canadian type occasionally having Purple Fluorite embedded in the Orange Calcite matrix as well. The bright, vibrant colors and energetic output of these stones have made this mineral popular in polished forms. We have found spheres to be our favorite shape, but have also seen how beautiful the raw form of this mineral is.
