Quartz Geode

Quartz Geode

Science & Origin of Quartz Geode

Quartz Geodes are a variety of Quartz that crystallize within spherical geodes in a druzy, or prismatic formation. This process is created by hydrothermal fluids and gas bubbles that get trapped in igneous rocks. As the fluid and gas evaporate, the silicate and carbonate impurities settle into the hollow environment, allowing the Quartz crystals to form. The size and quantity of the Quartz are dependent on a variety of factors, such as temperature, spacing, and impurity levels. Most countries around the world have Quartz Geodes available in existing bedrock that rose to the surface during tectonic activity. Some of the most famous locations are Brazil, Namibia, Mexico, Uruguay, Morocco, the UK, and the USA.

Quartz Geodes can form with other minerals, such as Agates, Amethyst, Prasiolite, and Hematite. The purity and crystallization process can increase the value of the geode, with Uruguay and Brazil usually leading with unique geode specimens.

Artificial Variations

There are artificially colored Quartz Geodes that are sold on the market, usually in vibrant colors such as blue, purple, pink, yellow, red, and green. This process is done by heating the Quartz and adding a coloring agent to the crystals. Be wary that if you are seeing crystals in an unnatural hue with deep coloring, they are probably fake and should be avoided for metaphysical purposes, unless one is interested in using these for decoration. We say this as long time professionals within the industry, due to the amount we have seen labeled as natural, which is not only false advertising to the customer, but unethical for spiritual purposes.

Meaning & Energy

We can truly say that Quartz has been an evolutionary, energetical, and societal building block. It is everywhere around us; in our cellphones, medical technology, clocks, and concrete. Spiritually, Quartz has been used in almost every society and is highly regarded as a super-frequency stone, commonly adorning the tops of pyramids. It is an essential tool to keep our culture running and helps us advance to not only higher levels of technology, but higher levels of consciousness.

Enhancement

Quartz is the strongest enhancing stone in the mineral kingdom and helps reignite our true identity while showing us the path towards enlightenment. It's clear energy acts as an amplifier of the vibrations that are put into it, making it an excellent manifestation tool. Its point is frequently displayed at high energetic areas such as the tops of staves, wands, in between crystals in grids, and placed on top of key energy points on the body. When using Quartz, it results in an awakening effect that supercharges the chakra system and dispels the malignant energies within.

An important note to make about Quartz is how it can often absorb negative vibrations. Quartz is a vacuum cleaner for diluted vibrations that may attach to your aura and become harmful. Whether or not you use the Quartz that you own, it should be cleansed often. Even the piece passively sitting will attract unwanted energy. We recommend cleansing it by either the moonlight, an incense tool, or with a water bath.
