Black Shiva Lingam is a variety of Shiva Lingam, a crypto crystalline member of the Quartz family. Villagers usually provide a bit more polishing to get it into the perfect lingam shape, but have had to do additional work since a dam was built that reduces the speed of the water, causing less friction on the stones.
