The stone is usually made up of Quartz, Agate, and Amethyst layers that are then separated by unique banding patterns. The colors of this pattern range from grey to yellow and brown, and are great offsetting colors to the purple Amethyst layer and the white Quartz matrix. Crazy Lace Amethyst comes from a locality in Mexico and was recently discovered, making this mineral very popular on the market. It is usually crafted and polished into shapes such as spheres, plamstones, hearts, towers, and tumbled.
