Green Aragonite is a rare variety of Aragonite , a calcium carbonate mineral that crystallizes in the form of rosettes, botryoidal, fan-like aggregates, and mass formations. The light green color is caused by oxidation from copper impurities, as well as water and moisture exposure. The majority of Green Aragonite specimens come from deposits in Spain, but can also be found in the Blue Aragonite mines of Pakistan, Mexico, Afghanistan, Morocco, and the U.S.A.
